What was the last book YOU read in one sitting?
The Last Flight by Julie Clark kept me hooked from page one until the very last line! It was the sort of story where I had to rewarm the bathwater three times because I needed to read just one more chapter! This book was a thrilling, non-stop adventure. (See my full review below!)
About The Last Flight:

Claire Cook has a perfect life. Married to the scion of a political dynasty, with a Manhattan townhouse and a staff of ten, her surroundings are elegant, her days flawlessly choreographed, and her future auspicious. But when the flight to Puerto Rico crashes, Claire realizes it’s no longer a head start but a new life. Cut off, out of options, with the news of her death about to explode in the media, Claire will assume Eva’s identity, and along with it, the secrets Eva fought so hard to keep hidden.

Reader’s Thoughts
As an aviation enthusiast, any book with the word “flight” in the title immediately captures my attention. Better still if it’s a thriller with over four stars on Goodreads! With the newly released paperback version of The Last Flight, my Instagram feed has been happily filling with photos of this red-covered novel. And I wanted in on it!
And, I can very honestly say that this book lived up to the hype!
I can’t remember the last time I read a book in a single sitting. Right from the start, the premise of this story had me hooked. Two women who meet in an airport and decide to switch tickets? I’m in. And with its short chapters and fast-paced story, the book never relinquished its grip until I came up for air on the very last page.
One of my favorite things (lately) is a good dual-timeline story — especially in a thriller/mystery novel. This was a story where that writing technique worked really well. The back and forth between characters flowed seamlessly and helped build that ever-increasing tension.
And the ending? Well, let’s just say, I didn’t see it coming.
The characters had a depth to them that created a very real sense of connection for me. The plot was fast-paced and intriguing. And I literally couldn’t put this book down. If you love thrillers, be sure to grab this one for your shelf! I highly recommend!
